Minerva Teichert Prize for Creative Work
Sponsored by Global Women's Studies and the College of Fine Arts and Communications
Minerva Teichert
LDS artist Minerva Teichert (1888-1976) championed women in her art, emphasizing the significance of their contributions and showing them as courageous, dignified, and strong. A beneficiary of a supportive network of women herself, Teichert saw the value of women encouraging women to pursue their creative work.
The Minerva Teichert Prize for Creative Work was established in 2021 to honor this legacy.
