GWS Program Coordinator and Executive Committee

The GWS program coordinator is appointed by the Kennedy Center Director in consultation with the Assistant Director of Academic Programs and Research, and with the approval of the IAS Council and the faculty member’s department chair. The program coordinator (with approval from deans and department chairs) invites faculty to serve on an executive committee (composed of at least six members from different disciplines). The executive committee members work together to oversee and manage the Global Women’s Studies curriculum, to plan and carry out activities related to the program, to distribute allocated resources in accordance with program needs and goals, to facilitate interdisciplinary research, and to establish relationships with national and international women’s studies scholars.
