Beverly Nalder Scholarship
Beverly Nalder
Beverley Nalder originally established this scholarship to assist undergraduate, single mothers who majored in a social science, which was her field of study. The scholarship was altered, per Nalder’s request to support Global Women’s Studies students who are parents and struggling financially.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be undergraduate students officially pursuing a minor in Global Women’s Studies at Brigham Young University. Applicants must be single parents or parents who are struggling in other ways with financial difficulties.
USE
Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books, other academic expenses, or living expenses.
AMOUNT OF AWARD
The scholarship amount will vary based on the endowment payout and number of eligible applicants. The amount customarily exceeds $1000.
LENGTH OF AWARD
One year (one-time deposit near the beginning of fall semester). This is a one-time award. Students may reapply to be considered each year.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications due January 27 for winter semester, September 15 for fall semester.
