MBA Asia - Second Year Program

Dates: 30 April–25 May 2023 (approx.)
Application Deadline: 3 March 2023

The MBA Asia study abroad trip will give participants a comprehensive overview of trends in business currently at play and an in-depth view into companies currently operating in the region. You’ll get to see firsthand the strategies companies have pursued to take part in the explosive growth of Asia in places like Thailand (Phuket, Bangkok), Maldives, India (New Delhi), Cambodia (Siem Riep), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Nepal (Kathmandu), Vietnam (Hanoi), and Japan (Tokyo), and how they’ve adapted to the ever-changing business, social, and political environment. All along the way we will be visiting large multinational corporations, government-owned enterprises, and emerging local businesses in diverse industries including finance, manufacturing, product development, marketing, and logistics. In addition to company visits, alumni dinners and events will be coordinated in cities with large BYU alumni populations.

This short-term study abroad gives students the chance to expand their understanding of the culture and business practices of Asia, while providing opportunities to network with alumni and friends of the university who are living and working in the region. Students will gain insight into the business climate and make connections with professionals in the region. Come and experience this incredible shift in economic prominence first hand on this short-term study abroad—meaning you’ll still have time for that summer internship!
