The Plurality of Paris

Dates: 30 April–8 June 2025 (approx.)
Application Deadline: 15 January 2025

Come discover Paris au pluriel—the plurality of Paris! This program will explore the multicultural and linguistic richness of the City of Lights. Designed to help you increase proficiency in the French language through coursework and real-world interactions, our curriculum will also introduce you to the cultural, linguistic, and literary variety of Paris. The city and its marquee monuments—the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, the Opéra Garnier, the Palais Galliera, among others—will be our classroom. We will venture beyond the bérets and baguettes of postcard Paris to explore the multiethnic heritage of the city’s food, fashion, art, and varieties of French. Of particular interest to our program will be the cultural and linguistic legacies of France’s colonial past. Our itinerary will also include overnight excursions to the cities of Nantes, Bordeaux, and Lyon, as well as day trips to Giverny and the Cité internationale de la langue française. Venez nombreux!
