Francophone Europe internships offer students the opportunity to develop professional skills and gain meaningful work experience in immersive French-speaking environments in France and Belgium. Participants will enhance their resumes, learn to network, and strengthen competencies that complement their primary major or intended career path. French 321 (or the equivalent) and advanced-level French proficiency (best demonstrated by an Advanced-Low ACTFL rating) are required. Housing included, unless indicated otherwise.
Spring Term
- IES Abroad (placement organization)
- specialized placement according to major (e.g., market research, social media publicity, event planning, etc.)
- approx. 27 April–17 June (only spring term)
- Université Catholique de Lille, Faculté de gestion, économie, & sciences
- administrative and clerical work for the admissions office, with an excellent staff for mentorship
- approx. 27 April–17 June (only spring term)
- Blue Factory
- administrative work in the start-up incubator of the highly reputed École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris
- entrepreneurship, marketing
- spring term, also fall/winter (up to 90 days)
Summer Term
- Petits Frères des Pauvres
- volunteer service with elderly people in Paris or southern France
- wonderful prep for medical school, sociology, social work, psychology, but any major works
- summer term: approx. 21 June–12 August
Brussels, spring/fall/winter
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints International Affairs Office
- for pre-law, family policy, and humanitarian initiatives
- work with embassies, Church representatives

- US Commercial Service (Paris): apply 3 months prior to term to ensure processing
- international trade office for the US Embassy, Paris
