Dr. Andrea Kinghorn Busby is a BYU assistant professor and human development and social policy expert. After earning her BS in Family Life at BYU, she worked as a secondary mathematics teacher in the Prince George’s County School District in Maryland through Teach for America. She then went on to earn a master’s and a PhD in Human Development and Social Policy, and a master’s in Statistics from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on inequality in children’s home, school, and neighborhood contexts. Come hear more about her journey to her career and advice she has to give as a Black professional woman.
