ROME, MILAN, MUNICH, PARIS, LONDON

Let Rome, Milan, Munich, Paris, and London be your campus for two weeks during May 2026. The program is designed for you to learn about international real estate investment and the challenges facing global investors. We will learn from meetings with executives at prestigious firms with international offices. You will also visit a multitude of properties and learn about real estate investment from a global perspective. In addition, you will have time to see many world-renowned locations such as the Rome Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Big Ben, and Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial.

Courses

Preference will be given to students who have taken a course in real estate, such as FIN 413—Real Estate Finance and Investment, MBA 686—Real Estate Analysis, or have been active in the BYU Real Estate Association (BREA) and participated in meaningful real estate internships.

Students may not take any other courses on this program, including BYU Online courses, without approval by the program director and ISP.

Cost

$3,200–3,600

Includes housing, breakfasts and some lunches/dinners, group transportation, and international health insurance.

Does not include airfare to and from Europe, some meals, or personal expenses.

Funding Sources

This program is subsidized by a $1,000 scholarship provided by the Peery Institute that will be awarded to all students who are accepted to this program. The program costs $4,200-$4,600 without the Peery scholarship.

Regular BYU tuition scholarships, Pell Grants, and Federal Insured Student Loans may be applied to study abroad programs.

Students who submit the financial aid section of the ISP application and who have a current FAFSA form on file at the Financial Aid Office (A-41 ASB) will be considered for a Study Abroad scholarship.

Academic departments and colleges may assist with scholarships and grants.

Private grants and scholarships outside of BYU may also assist (see kennedy.byu.edu/scholarships).

Scholarships are not applied until the last payment is due.

Preparation

Students must meet all country- and program-specific COVID and health requirements for travel.

International study programs are physically, emotionally, and mentally demanding, so you must be in good health to participate. These programs often take place in locations that do not have the same level of safety and services in terms of transportation, living conditions, residential accommodations, food, public behavior, and policing that you may be used to on campus. Housing

Students will stay in hotels. All housing is arranged by the program.

Travel

Students are responsible for purchasing their own airfare to and from the program sites. Airline reservations must be made through BYU Travel. Students should contact a BYU Travel agent.

Application Process

Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Complete the online application here. A nonrefundable $35 application fee is required; applicants will be interviewed once the application is complete.

Students will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance into the program. The first payment is due upon acceptance; please refer to the Payment Information document.

Program Adjustments

International Study Programs (ISP) reserves the right to cancel this program, revise its offerings, or make any adjustments to the preliminary cost.

If it becomes necessary for ISP to cancel a program, all program payments made to BYU ISP will be refunded to the student’s BYU financial account.

ISP is the only office authorized to cancel any of its programs.
