The Salt Lake Committee on Foreign Relations (SLCFR) is pleased to welcome Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assil, a renowned political scientist and Middle East scholar.

As a Senior Fellow at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C., and a Professorial Lecturer at George Washington University, Dr. Al-Assil brings profound expertise in geopolitics, state-building, and regional security. His impressive credentials include fellowships at institutions like Harvard University and the Orient Research Centre in Dubai, board memberships with the Harvard Arab Alumni Association and the Syrian Nonviolence Movement, and regular commentary on outlets such as BBC, CNN, and Sky News. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain unique insights from one of the leading voices in Middle Eastern politics and global affairs!

The evening's events will begin with a social at 6:00 p.m. followed by a dinner at 7:00 p.m., and then Dr. Al-Assil's presentation will commence at 8:00 p.m.
