Bruce Law named International Society Executive Director

The International Society announces that Bruce Law has been appointed Executive Director, effective immediately. He replaces Ted Lyon, who has served as Executive Director since 2015. Robert Griffiths continues to serve as President of the International Society.

Over the course of his 36-year marketing career, which began on Madison Avenue at Ogilvy Advertising, Bruce has become a recognized expert in building brands, generating sales, and capturing market share for virtually every kind of company, from startup to late stage, high-tech to packaged goods, for-profit to philanthropic. Bruce has directed marketing for household names like Intel and Lever Brothers, as well as mid-sized companies like Little Giant and Provo Craft. He has personally served as VP of Marketing for more than 200 companies because of his unique CMO-for-hire business model.

Under Bruce’s direction since 2002, Sprout Marketing has guided the marketing of more than 300 companies, launched over 900 products, and added more than $750 million in incremental revenue to the top lines of its portfolio companies. Sprout’s unique approach of providing part-time chief marketing officers to companies that otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford one has become a must-have growth solution for startups, small businesses, and mid-sized companies alike.

Bruce is a popular and provocative speaker at conferences and universities in the US, and is regularly quoted in business and marketing publications. He founded the Marketing Executive Forum, a think tank for marketing professionals seeking to continually improve their skills. Bruce began his career in 1985 at Ogilvy Advertising in New York City, then the third-largest ad agency in the world. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Brigham Young University. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1981–82 in Kobe, Japan and speaks Japanese and French and is studying Mandarin and Spanish. He and his wife of 33 years have four children and four grandchildren and currently reside in Gilbert, Arizona (USA).
