Scholarships for undergraduates are reserved for students with demonstrated financial need who have little or no experience in the Asian country they wish to study. Students may seek to study abroad in: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam. Term awards up to $3,000; semester awards up to $5,000; academic-year awards up to $7,000.
Applicants will be required to complete an online application, which includes two essays, your latest student aid report, your current academic-year financial aid award letter, and an unofficial transcript. Applications will need to be certified by James Mayo, the Kennedy Center scholarship coordinator.
