Anne Trépanier, award-winning author and teacher, is a historian specializing in historiography and a passionate teacher. Her current research critically explores representations of Canadian and Quebec histories and narratives through theatre and museum representations. Anne Trépanier serves in the School of Canadian Studies and in the Department of French at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Her most recent book, De l’hydre au castor. Représentations de la Confédération dans la presse de l’Amérique du Nord britannique (1844-1867), won three awards: Best Book in Canadian Studies 2024, the Pierre-Savard Prize 2025, and Best Book in Political History 2025.
