Kara Molnar is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Alongside attorneys and State Department officials, she designs and implements technical assistance programs to promote energy and critical mineral resource development in Latin America and Eurasia. She received her B.A. in History and Spanish Studies from BYU where she interned with the State Department (Madrid), the Council on Foreign Affairs (Washington, DC), and the Latvian Institute of International Affairs (Riga) and was a Boren Scholar, Model UN TA, and Spanish student instructor. She speaks fluent Spanish and Russian.
