Global Environmental Studies

About Global Environmental Studies

Global Environmental Studies is an exciting, new interdisciplinary minor that is an ideal companion for any major to strengthen a student's environmental expertise, especially in an interdisciplinary framework. It pairs well with any major in a science related to the environment, as a bridge to the humanities and the social sciences and is also ideal for any pre-professional student in the humanities or social sciences with an environmental interest. If you love the environment and are looking for the tools to be an effective environmental leader and communicator, this program is for you. The minor stands out in its recognition of the inherently interdisciplinary nature of environmental problems and their potential solutions. It is designed to inspire and prepare future leaders who have the scientific, cultural, political, and moral understandings necessary to meet the environmental challenges ahead.
