How can individual attempts at peacemaking positively affect the trajectory of American politics? How do peacemaking skills influence political conflicts abroad and the success of international agreements?

Ambassador Jeff Flake served as the US Ambassador to The Republic of Türkiye 2022–2024. He represented Arizona in the United States Senate from 2013–2019 and served in the House of Representatives from 2001–2013. Ambassador Flake serves as Chairman of the Board of World Trade Center Utah, is Director of the Institute of Politics at Arizona State University, and is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Brigham Young University. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller Conscience of a Conservative: A Rejection of Destructive Politics and a Return to Principle. Ambassador Flake holds a BA degree in International Relations and an MA degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
