Kathryn Glenn Hired as Kennedy Center Career Director

Kathryn Glenn is our new Career Director.

We’re pleased to announce that the Kennedy Center has recently made a new hire to help our students succeed professionally: Kathryn Glenn has been hired as our new Career Director, part of our Academic Advisement team.

Glenn earned an undergraduate degree in business and an Executive MBA from BYU. She worked in tax accounting after completing her undergrad, then became Operations Director for a career coaching company; this, she says, sparked her enthusiasm for helping individuals navigate their career paths.

Outside of work, she and her husband Jeff, an associate professor in BYU’s Department of Public Health, have three children and enjoy traveling the world together. She also enjoys landscape photography and pickleball.

She’s long been involved with the Kennedy Center, having taken BYU students on study abroad programs around the world with her husband. She also went on a study abroad program of her own as part of the Executive MBA program. So when she saw that the Kennedy Center was hiring a Career Director, it felt like a natural fit. “I truly enjoy connecting with students at this stage of life,” she says. “I’m excited about the chance to support students as they explore their futures.”

She’s excited to work at the Kennedy Center with its focus on international experiences and opportunities. “I believe that God created this world full of interesting opportunities and wonder,” she says. “The Kennedy Center provides many experiences, including global opportunities, that facilitate student growth. I hope to help students explore their interests, build confidence, and find meaningful career paths.”

She’s excited to begin taking student appointments, which should begin in late April; as soon as she’s ready to begin scheduling appointments, you’ll be able to do so here. She’d also love to connect with alumni who are aware of opportunities for Kennedy Center students; if you’re one of those alumni, you can email her.
