Students will be actively immersed in Italian culture and presented rich study content in baroque dance, Pilates, and ballet technique with an emphasis on the Italian methodology. They will also study the local architecture and artistic masterworks to inform their ballet performance and composition studies.

Students must register for a minimum of 0.5 credit hour during the summer term.

Students may not take any other courses on this program, including BYU Online courses, without approval by the program director and ISP.
COST
$1,850
Includes Latter-day Saint, undergraduate tuition for 0.5 credit hour (increased cost for graduates and non-Latter-day Saint students), lodging, transportation, some meals and admissions, dance technique classes, flights, and international health insurance coverage.
Not Included: some meals, admissions, and personal expenses.

PREPARATION
To apply for this program, students should be currently registered for Dance 490 and Dance 498. Students will be selected by interview and audition.
Accepted students will be required to participate in a preparation seminar during the second block of winter Semester 2022 in preparation for their experience abroad.
All participants are required to show proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) at least two weeks prior to departure.
FUNDING SOURCES
Regular BYU tuition scholarships, Pell Grants, and Federal Insured Student Loans may be applied to study abroad programs.
Students who submit the financial aid section of the ISP application and who have a current FAFSA form on file at the Financial Aid Office (A-41 ASB) will be considered for a study abroad scholarship and may be considered for other scholarships.
Students must indicate on their original online application that they want to be considered for financial aid.
Academic departments and colleges may assist with scholarships and grants.
Private grants and scholarships outside of BYU may also assist (see kennedy.byu.edu/scholarships).
APPLICATION PROCESS
Complete the online application at kennedy.byu.edu/apply. A nonrefundable $35 application fee is required.
Applicants will be interviewed once the application is complete.
Students will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance into the program.
