All students planning on participating in an international study program must register for a prep course before their departure. This class is a cultural preparation course related to your specific program. The Study Abroad/Internship/Direct Enrollment class is a one-credit-hour class taken during the second block of the semester before leaving; Field Studies have a three-credit-hour prep class offered the semester before departure.
You may enroll in these classes through MyMap on MyBYU just like any other course at BYU. Search for the prep courses under IAS (International and Area Studies) and look for your corresponding course.
Those students who are not in Provo the semester before departure should contact their director and arrange a way to receive the prep-class information
