Apply for a marketing and social media internship with FE Burman, a London-based design-led printing company. FE Burman designs and prints a range of exciting products for many of London's most well-known brands. As an intern, you will help design marketing and social media campaigns and gain key insights into what it takes to run a printing organization—from client meetings to print production to the final product. Applicants should be in their junior or senior year of school. Previous internship or work experience in social media or marketing is a plus. Must be friendly, creative, engaging, and proactive.

Apply for an editorial internship with the print and digital magazine Londnr. Described as a magazine for the adventurous, eclectic, and open-minded, Londnr explores cultural topics in both its bi-monthly print issues and regularly updated website. Interns can expect to assist with research, admin, copywriting, and editing. Applicants should be in their junior and senior years of school.

Courses

Students are required to enroll in 6 credit hours during the spring or summer term programs, or 12 credit hours during the fall semester internship program. Some of these credits will be arranged as internship credit from students’ majors or minors. Additional credit, including directed readings or research, will be granted by BYU academic departments. Students should consult with their department internship coordinator and ISP to learn more about these options.

Accompanying spouses are required to enroll for a minimum of 3 BYU credits, but are not required to do an internship.

Students may not take any other courses on this program, including BYU Online courses, without approval by the program director and ISP.

Cost

$6,000–6,500

Includes full-time Latter-day Saint undergraduate tuition, housing, internship placement, and international health insurance coverage.

Does not include airfare, visa (approx. $1,200), local transportation in London, personal expenses, or meals.

The cost for accompanying spouses is the same as for full-time students ($6,000–6,500).

Funding Sources

Regular BYU tuition scholarships, Pell Grants, and Federal Insured Student Loans may be applied to study abroad programs.

Students who submit the financial aid section of the ISP application and who have a current FAFSA form on file at the Financial Aid Office (A-41 ASB) will be considered for a Study Abroad scholarship.

Academic departments and colleges may assist with scholarships and grants.

Private grants and scholarships outside of BYU may also assist (see kennedy.byu.edu/scholarships).

Preparation

Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the end of the program.

Accepted students to the program must participate in required pre-departure meetings. Visas are required and should be applied for approximately four months prior to departure.

Accompanying spouses need to be credit-bearing participants on the program; they will need to apply online and participate in pre-departure meetings.

Students must meet all country- and program-specific COVID and health requirements for travel.

Housing

Students will live in an apartment-style living in the Kensington area of London, near historic Hyde Park. Students are responsible for providing their own meals. Accommodations come with a refrigerator, and cooking facilities are available either in the apartment or on each floor.

Travel

Students are responsible for purchasing their own airfare to and from the program sites. Airline reservations must be made through BYU Travel. Students should contact a BYU Travel agent.

Application Process

Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Complete the online application here. A nonrefundable $35 application fee is required; applicants will be interviewed once the application is complete.

Students will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance into the program. The first payment is due upon acceptance; please refer to the Payment Information document.

Program Adjustments

International Study Programs (ISP) reserves the right to cancel this program, revise its offerings, or make any adjustments to the preliminary cost.

If it becomes necessary for ISP to cancel a program, all program payments made to BYU ISP will be refunded to the student’s BYU Financial account.

ISP is the only office authorized to cancel any of its programs.
