ISP New Program Proposals

Brigham Young University strives to provide high quality, academically enriching, and safe international programs to its students. As you consider proposing a new international program, please read the Guidelines for International Study Programs at BYU.

Login with your BYU credentials in order to create, edit, and submit applications. As you fill out the online proposal, you can save it to complete it at a later date. You can also print it out and share it with colleagues for feedback. You will need to obtain signatures from your department and college as well as your International Study Programs coordinator.

Once the online proposal is completed and submitted, the program will be reviewed by BYU’s international security analyst as well as by the ISP Academic Oversight Committee. This committee places special emphasis on clarity of learning outcomes and demonstration of appropriate purpose and rigor. The sponsoring academic unit is responsible for program outcomes; however, the Oversight Committee will periodically review learning effectiveness in international programs.

If you have any questions on this process please contact Lynn Elliott, director, International Study Programs, (801) 422-6244 or
