Come to Europe for the best of the best in experience design and management. Join us for 2+ weeks for an exciting experience “safari” touring experience hot spots: London, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland. These places know something about the Good Life and how to design great experiences. They represent the happiest countries in the world (Finland #1, Denmark #2, Iceland #4) and we expect to learn a thing or two from them. Savor and consider the successful festivals, theme parks, theatres, tourist attractions, museums, cooking classes, and immersive experiences available in this program. We will visit places like Harry Potter Studios in London, Lego House in Denmark, and the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. Members of the World Experience Organization will meet with students at the venues they have recommended for our visit. Experience design and management has developed as a focus for businesses and research in Europe more quickly than it has in the United States, so there is much to learn from these experience experts. The program is designed for Experience Design and Management students and fulfills a program elective for them, but students from other majors are also welcomed to apply. Students will gain a greater understanding of the key elements of successful experience design and management, participate in the discovery of new knowledge about experience design as they take part in experience research projects with faculty, apply measures of experience impact to the experiences they visit, evaluate the quality of experiences, and create and stage unique experiences during the program for their trip colleagues.
