Join violist Juliet White-Smith, Professor of Music at The Ohio State University, as she presents a brief overview of women composers throughout history. She will highlight the diversity of some of the pioneers of the twentieth century and will introduce women trailblazers of the current generation. Musical examples will be drawn from a wide range of repertoire, and the presentation will conclude with a live performance of Rebecca Clarke’s Morpheus for viola and piano performed by White-Smith and pianist Rick Ferguson, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Musical Offering community school in Evanston, Illinois.
