Drawing on his experience in Afghanistan, Dodge Billingsley will examine the recent fall of Kunduz to Taliban forces, what it says about the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police, security in northern Afghanistan, the current political leadership of Afghanistan, and the U.S. timetable for withdrawal from the region.
Billingsley, director of Combat Films and Research, has been a long-time observer of wars and contested regions and has spent considerable time with U.S. and foreign militaries worldwide. Billingsley’s documentary films have won both the prestigious Rory Peck and Royal Television Society awards, and he has produced and directed the Kennedy Center series Beyond the Border.
