This month’s topic for the State Department Workshop Series will be the Consular Fellows Program which offers candidates a unique opportunity to serve their country, utilize their Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, or Arabic foreign language skills, and develop valuable experience that will serve them well in follow-on professions. Guest speakers will include Miyaunna Cleveland and Abigail Barnes.
Miyaunna Cleveland joined the Department of State as a Vital Records Passport Specialist in 2018. She now serves as a Spanish Language Consular Fellow and is currently assigned to the Consular Section at the United States Embassy in Guatemala City.
Abigail Barnes is the Consular Fellows Program (CFP) recruiter. She is a Virginia native and studied International Relations and French at the College of William & Mary.
