Annie Pforzheimer will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Salt Lake Committee on Foreign Relations (SLCFR). Pforzheimer is a non-resident Senior Associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York, and a commentator on foreign policy who has appeared on PBS NewsHour. A retired senior career diplomat, she was the acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Afghanistan until March 2019, and from 2017-18, the Deputy Chief of Mission in Kabul. She is a graduate of Harvard University and holds an MA from the National War College.
