Rich McKeown will provide an overview of his career in law. McKeown will describe his career path, provide career advice, and discuss life lessons.
He is the chairman of the Leavitt Partners Board of Directors, which he co-founded and served as the firm’s first CEO. Previously, McKeown served as chief of staff for Mike Leavitt at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the largest department in the federal government; led the negotiations between China and the FDA regarding drug, device, and food issues; and served as senior counselor and chief of staff to Administrator Leavitt at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. McKeown and Leavitt authored the highly-acclaimed book Finding Allies, Building Alliances. Before Washington, D.C., he served as chief of staff to Governor Mike Leavitt and as commissioner of the Utah State Tax Commission.
