Kerry M. Kartchner will provide an overview of his current position at the U.S. Department of State. Kartchner will describe his career path, provide career advice, and discuss life lessons.
He is currently senior advisor for strategic communications in the Department of International Security and Nonproliferation at the U.S. Department of State. Most recently, Kartchner took a leave of absence to serve as visiting practitioner in residence at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, where he taught graduate courses on countering WMD and comparative international ethics. He is co-editor with Jeffrey Larsen of the award-winning book On Limited Nuclear War in the 21st Century.
