His Excellency Omer Dahab Fadl Mohamed is ambassador to the UN for Sudan. Previously, Mohamed was Sudan’s ambassador to the Russian Federation, and a portion of which period he was concurrently accredited to Belarus and Kazakhstan. Before that, he served as chair of the Committee on Justice, Reconciliation, Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of the government’s delegation to the Inter-Sudanese Peace Talks on Darfur. During his Foreign Service career, Mohamaed has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva, and in embassies in Malaysia, the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and the United Arab Emirates.
