Julie Ford Brenning, director of research and China Outreach, Give Her Life
Crys currently supports children’s education in West Africa, where her position allows her to utilize the skills learned in the MPA program at BYU and the valuable experience with the WomanStats Project. She also runs Amaa Dress, a business that sells custom dresses to women in the U.S. made by women in Ghana. Crys and her husband live in Salt Lake City and love exploring the outdoors in the area.
Jessica oversees ongoing research projects and is the AidData Research Consortium’s (ARC) principal point of contact. Previously, she served as the COO for the WomanStats Project and worked with the Worldwide Organization for Women as a global education opportunity intern in Geneva, Switzerland. She received a BA in economics and an MPP from BYU.
Julie received a BS in political science and a BA in Asian Studies from BYU, where she was a research assistant for the WomanStats Project. She also served a full-time mission in Taipei and studied abroad in Beijing, China. Following BYU, Julie received an MA in Asian Studies from the University of Utah. She lives in Albuquerque New Mexico with her husband and their two children.
