Laura Bridgewater is an associate dean in the College of Life Sciences and a professor in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Bridgewater received a PhD in genetics from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., completed a postdoc at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and has been on the faculty at BYU since 1999. She is the mother of four kids, all born while she was in graduate school.
