Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Argentina, as we focus on the political process that took place in the Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata from the Revolution that started in 1810 to the declaration of independence of a new State, the “United Provinces in South America” in 1816. The struggle between factions among revolutionaries, the conflict between Centralists and Federalists, and the discussions of self-government, free trade, and other issues in the political arena are the main topics of the lecture.
