The Young Leaders Initiative Program was established in 2018 by the American Committees on Foreign Relations (ACFR) to provide interested and talented students with an exceptional learning experience in Washington, D.C.
This conference will be tentatively held Wednesday–Saturday, 8–11 June 2022. The Salt Lake Committee on Foreign Relations is offering two $1,500 scholarships to cover round-trip airfare, most meals, local transportation, and hotel charges. Participants will be responsible for breakfast and incidentals.
The program entails meetings with diplomatic personnel, discussion of pivotal issues, participation in simulations, dinner with a foreign ambassador, and other opportunities. In addition, ACFR hopes to invigorate a lasting interest in foreign relations building upon the relationships that the student participants will establish while in Washington, D.C., and afterwards.
