Jimin Kim is deputy consul general of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco and is currently serving as the acting head of mission. Most recently, Kim served as director of protocol and director of national community external cooperation in charge of North Korean refugee issues abroad, and he was awarded the Citation of the Foreign Minister. His diplomatic career has included posts as first secretary at the Korean Embassy in Tokyo and counselor at the Korean Embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He received a BS in foreign service from Georgetown University and an MIA from Columbia University. Kim and his wife are the parents of one son and one daughter.
