Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield, Jr. is chairman of the nonpartisan Stimson Center in Washington, D.C., and a director and national executive committee member of the U.S. Water Partnership (www.uswaterpartnership.org). Bloomfield was U.S. Special Envoy for MANPADS Threat Reduction (2008–09) and U.S. assistant secretary of state for Political Military Affairs (2001–05). He also works with several private sector groups with a primary focus on sustainable technologies. Author or editor of two books and many articles, Bloomfield is a graduate of Harvard College and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
