Michael Isom serves in the National Guard, where he supports Congressional, Homeland Security and White House initiatives. After receiving a BA in Chinese from BYU, Isom studied national security law at Duke and Georgetown before working in two Pentagon offices of General Counsel. He served as adjunct faculty for five years at the U.S. Army War College. Isom was deployed to Afghanistan to coordinate a multinational task force and then served as senior legal advisor for a bilateral U.S.–Saudi Arabian program. He and his wife are the parents of five children.
