Liz Jevtic-Somlai is a native of Serbia, former teenage refugee, and teaches and does research on child soldiers, nuclear proliferation, refugee crisis, girl child, and the future of the EU. She worked with the CTBTO in Vienna, Austria and had ten years of experience with the United Nations. Currently she is a visiting professor in BYU’s Political Science Department and received her BA in International Relations from the Kennedy Center, MA in German from BYU, and PhD in international conflict analysis at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
