Justin W. Budd (lt. col. retired) served a thirty-year career in the U.S. Army as an intelligence and foreign area officer, which included serving as chief of plans and partnership for the Europe-Mediterranean Directorate of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, as defense attaché for the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. Budd’s other assignments included Germany, the Netherlands, Korea, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, and he helped develop the training capabilities of the African Union and directed efforts to help Ukraine counter IED use by Russian forces. He received a BS in biology from the University of Wyoming, an MPPM with an emphasis in security studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the Department of Defense Joint and Combined Warfighter School. Budd speaks Armenian and Hungarian. He and his wife Laura are the parents of two daughters.
