John C. Taylor entered the Foreign Service in 2003 and has served as a public affairs officer, consular officer, and political-military affairs unit chief. Taylor’s postings have included Stockholm, Surabaya, Sapporo, Kabul, Washington, D.C., and most recently the U.S. Embassy in Harare. His next assignment will be Fukuoka, Japan, as the consulate’s principal officer. Prior to entering the Foreign Service, he spent six years in the U.S. Air Force’s Space Command. Taylor received a BA and an MBA at BYU, where he met his wife Miho. They are the parents of four children and are expecting their first grandchild.
