Dr. Andrew Hyatt is the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) for Pakistan, posted at Embassy Islamabad. Hyatt joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 2009, and has served overseas regional tours based in Sana’a, Yemen; San Salvador, El Salvador; and Ottawa, Canada; as well as a domestic tour in Washington, D.C. He received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from BYU, graduated from osteopathic medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa, and received specialty training in family medicine with the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Hyatt and his wife Carla Christensen are the parents of four married children and have nine grandchildren.
