Adam Bently joined the Foreign Service in 2016 and is completing his first tour as consular officer and fraud prevention manager in Beijing, China. Bently’s next assignment is in Seoul, South Korea. He served a mission in Daejeon, South Korea, and speaks Mandarin and Korean. He received a BA in philosophy from BYU and a JD from UCLA School of Law. Bently practiced law in Los Angeles at Latham & Watkins LLP and Arent Fox LLP until joining the Foreign Service.
