The Transparent Development Footprints team is seeking research assistants for this summer to intern on a series of projects funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and USAID. Research assistants will play a key role in compiling novel datasets on official development finance from China and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries. Data produced will be used to inform the Gates Foundation’s Middle East strategy in areas of health, education, agriculture, and gender equality, and assist policymakers at USAID to better understand the scale and scope of development and commercial finance from nontraditional donors. Research assistants will learn novel research methods, make use of foreign language skills, and understand concretely the landscape of foreign assistance from nontraditional donors.
