Sam Benson will speak as part of the Public Affairs Career Lecture Series.
He is is a national politics reporter at Politico, a nonpartisan news service that covers policy and politics. He previously covered agriculture policy for Politico and as a national political correspondent and staff writer for the Deseret News, where he contributed to the paper’s award-winning coverage of the 2024 presidential election. He received his B.S. in Sociology and Spanish Studies from BYU where he was an Outstanding Honors Graduate.
