The best parts of this walk were the political aspects. We walked past the Palais de l’Elysée, the French equivalent of the White House. Napoleon lived there for a while and French presidents still live there. It’s on a street with lots of fancy stores and other governments building. We saw the US Ambassador’s residence, British embassy and Ambassador’s residence, and I think the Japanese ambassador’s residence. So cool!
Down the street after turning the corner, we came to the US Embassy. It was the last building built on the Place de la Concorde and is very well-guarded. France is the United States’ oldest ally! We have such an important relationship. Pretty exciting to see. I hope someday I can have the chance to work in that embassy. More…
