FSSO Lecture

The Foreign Service Student organization will sponsor “Diplomatic Security: Careers in Federal Law Enforcement and the Foreign Service” presented by Rebecca Dockery on Monday, 11 February at 3:00 P.M., 238 HRCB.

Dockery is the regional security officer at the U.S. Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan. A Texas native, she joined the U.S. Department of State in 1985. Her previous service includes special assistant to the assistant secretary for Diplomatic Security and as an assignment officer for Diplomatic Security Service Special Agents in the Office of Career Development and Assignments.

Her domestic assignments include the Washington Field Office, Houston Field Office, Office of International Programs, and supervisor of the Diplomatic Security Training Center’s Special Agent program. She has also been responsible for U.S. Embassy security programs in Senegal, the Gambia, Guinea Bissau, the Republic of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Netherlands. Dockery also served as deputy security director for the Moscow Embassy Building Construction Project.

She speaks Azerbaijani, French, Russian, and Czech.
