Interns and Volunteers Needed—Now Accepting Applications

Make your internship an international experience without leaving Salt Lake City!  Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a leading non-sectarian, nonprofit organization providing emergency relief, protection, rehabilitation assistance, resettlement services, and advocacy for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict.  IRC Salt Lake City staff ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency through English language classes, job training and placement services, and community participation activities.  We rely on volunteers to support our work helping these families adjust to a new life in the U.S.

Internships are offered throughout the year and last two to four months.  Time requirements vary from ten to twenty hours a week.  Background check and interview are required for anyone looking to participate.  Internships are available with the following programs:  Casework, employment, health, immigration, acculturation, and resource development and marketing. Please e-mail Lyn.Spataro@rescue.org to learn more.
