WomanStats Coders

WomanStats is taking applications for the 2015 Summer Trainee Class, a series of sessions to train students as WomanStats coders.  To apply, fill out this application.  Generally, applicants should have a 3.4 GPA or higher and at least one year or more of schooling left so there is time to put their training to good use.  Students remaining at BYU for graduate school or moving to TAMU for graduate school are also welcome to apply.  After reviewing applications, we will choose a subset of applicants to train for coder positions.

We also connect student-coders and non-coders to professors who research in their areas of interest and professors who would like to publish with a student.  Please let me know if you are interested in applying for a research grant and include the area of your research.

Check out our data and cite to it in your essays:  http://womanstats.org.

Also, Donna Lee Bowen, a WomanStats researcher, teaches Poli Sci 472 The International Political Economy of Women.  This course might interest you.  It uses Sex & World Peace, the book we highlight at our outreach events.
