Careers
There is a really good source for career information
on www.byu.edu/ccc.
Click on "Major to Career Book" on the right side of the screen.
On the left menu under Kennedy Center for International and Area Studies,
click on "Careers in Latin American Studies." This will bring
you to a page that recommends jobs for those with a LAS major/minor. You
can look at possible careers and then look them up on the link "Occupational
Outlook Handbook." This will take you to a web site that will give
a detailed description of the career in which you are interested. There
are printed copies of this information at the CCC (Counseling and Careers
Center in 2500 WSC.
The CCC has Career Files
Listed below are the codes to look these files up. They will help you
use the career files. It appears difficult at first to use, but then it
is very simple to use productively once you get the hang of it.
