Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a beautiful little city on the edge of Europe and yet in some ways at its very center. It is the gatekeeper of the Schengen Zone. In Slovenia’s 20,000 km² the Julian Alps, the Mediterranean, and the Hungarian Plain converge. It is the place where German, Italian, Hungarian, and Slavic languages and cultures meet. The city itself is an interesting mixture of Baroque, Art Nouveau, and Plečnik architecture.
Students who participate in this internship will attend language classes several times a week at the University of Ljubljana that focus on developing advanced-language proficiency. They will carry out internships in the target language that correspond with their various disciplines and professional interests.
