A workshop hosted by the Brigham Young University Center for the Study of Europe.
Brigham Young University’s Center for the Study of Europe and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies are pleased to announce a workshop on Islam in the European Public Sphere. Scholars from various disciplines will share their work on Islam in Europe and its implications for national security, religious freedoms, and the future of multiculturalism in a European context. The workshop aims to develop an understanding of the dynamics of these controversies in the European public sphere. Interested scholars and members of the general public are invited to attend.

Lodging
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Best Western CottonTree Inn, 2230 North University Parkway, Provo, Utah.
Each room has its own hair dryer, coffee brewer, iron/board, and basic toiletries. There is a complimentary hot buffet breakfast with over thirty items, and a free hotel shuttle service to and from BYU is available upon request.
Airport-to-Hotel Transportation
Express Shuttle is available to transport you to and from the airport. Their telephone number is (800) 397-0773. (It is approximately a one-hour drive from the Salt Lake City International Airport to Provo.) We strongly encourage you to make shuttle reservations ahead of time to avoid waiting at the airport. If you choose to make arrangements upon arrival, you will find the shuttle service counters located across from baggage claim. Car rental is also available at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
