Discover the culture and diversity of Mexico City through an amazing immersive experience. This eight-day study abroad program provides students with the opportunity to understand how the people of Mexico view the world and use culture and religion to inform everyday life. Students will have the opportunity to visit some of Mexico’s most famous and sacred sites. From the pyramids of Teotihuacan to Xochimilco’s floating gardens to the cobble-stoned streets of Malinalco (El Pueblo Magico), students will be immersed in an experience that will expand their understanding of the Mexican culture and gain an appreciation for specific political, social, economic, and religious practices that contribute to healthy family development. There will be an opportunity to provide service to a local school as well as visit the sacred Catholic healing site in Chalma, which will provide personal experience and exposure to different types of healing practices.
